We had the opportunity to go back to Old San Juan for dinner hosted by the company on Sunday night. They gave us two hours to shop and then show up at our assigned restaurant. Some of us chose instead to go back to Fort Cristobal and do our own tour. It was ten times better the second time and the people we were with were much better company. We got on the last bus to help the Daltons because Sis D had received a phone call saying that it had been announced in a San Juan sacrament meeting that she was giving a fireside that night. This fireside was not on her calendar but she got prepared for it anyway. On the bus on the way to San Juan they got a call saying that the fireside WAS her speaking--but it was a showing of a video of the CES fireside she had done recently at BYU. They didn't expect her to attend. She thought about trying, but we found out that it would be an hour and a half drive. So we went to the fort instead. Anyway there were only 9 of us on the bus and it turned out to be a great trip. Sorry my pictures of Sis D are mostly odd ones.
On the bus to Old San Juan. Our good friends, the Craigs in front.
The D's are dressed for the fireside, just in case.
Looking out a window in the fort overlooking the city. Sorry about the back view Sis D. and Sis C.
We got some residual weather from Hurricane Ida. The clouds got really dark and ominous. We ate in the upper room of a restaurant that had no roof over it. They had awnings they could roll out if it rained, but luckily we only saw lightening.
That's so cool the Dalton's were with you! That's awesome they were so chill and ready to show up and speak!
