Spain in October

Sunday in Madrid - at the Madrid Temple

Madrid's famous art museum - the Prado

A tapas bar called Museo de Jamon - they're all over Madrid

The front door to our hotel at the right.  The fountain down the street in the middle was the center of activities on Columbus Day.  The King and Queen were there and we saw a flyover of the Spanish Air Force.

The Spanish Parliament building - just across the street from our hotel.

Sol Plaza - near the main shopping district

Guards at the Royal Palace.  We couldn't go inside because it was Columbus Day and the King and Queen were there.

The Crystal Palace in Retiro Park

Caixa Forum, just down the street from the hotel.  Yes, that is artwork created by planting different plants on the side of a building.

The stained glass ceiling in the dining room at our hotel.

Don Quixote and Sancho Panza at the Cervantes memorial in Plaza de Espana.

Selfie at the Temple of Debod built around 200 BC in Egypt.  It was a gift from Egypt and assembled stone by stone in Madrid.

At the Spanish Naval Museum, a fascinating place.  Being the scouter that he is, Wayne took pictures of knots!
